Major South Carolina football target sets commitment announcement

SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS FOOTBALL RECRUITING

Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley class of 2020 four-star wide receiver Michael Wyman is ready to make his commitment.

The major South Carolina target will announce the college he plans to attend during a ceremony at the Dudley High Media Center at 4:30 p.m. on April 16.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Wyman recently released a top 14 schools that includes South Carolina, Georgia, Auburn, Purdue, Louisville, Florida, ECU, Oregon, West Virginia, Kentucky, Penn State, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Florida State. All have offered.

Wyman is scheduled to be in Columbia this Saturday for the Garnet and Black spring game and has been on campus multiple times during the recruiting process.

Currently 100 percent of the Futurecast predictions, one from this writer and one from Gamecock Central's Will Helms, have Wyman picking South Carolina.

With over 40 offers to his name, the standout playmaker is ranked the No. 174 overall prospect and No. 34 wide receiver in his class. Wyman is considered the No. 9 overall prospect in North Carolina by Rivals.com.
