Mathis, South Carolina part ways

Lakeland (Fla.) three-star cornerback Damarri Mathis announced his decommitment from South Carolina on Twitter Monday afternoon.

"After talking to my family I've decided that it would be best for me to decommit from the University of South Carolina to reopen my recruitment...," The Tweet reads.

The 5-foot-11, 178-pounder originally chose USC in June over offers from Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Southern Miss, UCF, and others.
