USC head coach Will Muschamp announced on Sunday night that Lorenzo Nunez will seek a transfer.

The Georgia product, a former four-star quarterback prospect as ranked by Rivals.com, played quarterback as a true freshman for the Gamecocks during the 2015 season. Transitioning to wide receiver this offseason, Nunez took a redshirt for the 2016 campaign.

"Lorenzo Nunez has come to me, he and his father, he wants to transfer," Muschamp said. "He wants to play quarterback. We're trying to help him through that process, getting him to some spots where he feels like he has an opportunity."
