Almost all of South Carolina's receivers played in the Gamecocks' 37-14 win over Vanderbilt - except one.
OrTre Smith didn't see any action Saturday, and Will Muschamp revealed that the sophomore receiver is dealing with a genetic issue that's hobbled him since the season started.
"He's dealing with a kneecap that is subluxing and he's been dealing with it since camp," Muschamp said on his weekly teleconference. "We're getting a CT (scan) on it tomorrow but he was going to be available in an emergency situation. He is under a lot of pain, but the knee continues to sublux on him and it's a very painful situation."

Subluxation is a temporary and partial dislocation of the kneecap and can cause swelling and a lot of pain bending or straightening a knee.
According to the Summit Medical group, it could be treated with ice and rest but in some cases surgery is required.
Muschamp said the Gamecocks have been trying almost everything they can do to try and fix the issue but it hasn't gone away, after finding out about it at the beginning of the team's training camp.
"He's been limited since August. We've tried to give him days off, we've tried to give him everything we know what to do medically," Muschamp said. "I need to know where we're going to head with this. He’s been very limited because of the pain. It's a very painful issue. It's been very frustrating for him."

Smith, who saw his role increase a lot last season with Deebo Samuel out, has three catches for 25 yards this year.
It's unknown what the diagnosis will be but more information will be available during Muschamp's weekly press conference Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
"I don't want to get ahead of myself," Muschamp said. "I want to wait and get a medical opinion. I talked to his mother today, and we're going to get another opinion and continue to move forward."

Other than that, there are no major injuries, Muschamp said. Javon Kinlaw and Rashad Fenton are fine with the latter practicing with the team Sunday after a quad injury kept him out the majority of the Vanderbilt game.
K.C. Crosby is the only more-serious injury with a broken finger, but Muschamp said he's expected to be fine. Josh Belk also practiced with the team Sunday night.
