SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS FOOTBALL RECRUITING
South Carolina football quarterback commit Ryan Hilinski's much-anticipated return trip to Columbia lived up to all expectations and then some.
The four-star prospect who committed to South Carolina in April and recently announced that he wasn't going to consider looking into Stanford following a late offer, spent Saturday and Sunday getting to know his future home.
"It was pretty amazing," Hilinksi said. "I talked to a bunch of people coming into this, just meeting up with some people and stuff like that, but the first thing I did was, I saw Coach Logan (Hall), who is coach (Dan) Werner's assistant and helps him out, and he drove me to the stadium and I walked over with the recruiting assistant to Gamecock Park, just to see a couple of people. And the first person I saw was someone with a Hilinski's Hope table set up and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. I started taking pictures with people, so that part of the social life, around the stadium where people know me and stuff was pretty awesome to see.
