Former South Carolina All-American Stephon Gilmore is headed to the Super Bowl.
Gilmore, one of the New England's starting cornerbacks, swatted away the final pass of the Patriots' 24-20 defeat of Jacksonville Sunday night to help send his team to the big game in two weeks.
It is Gilmore's first trip to the Super Bowl in his first season with the Patriots.
The Rock Hill native and South Pointe graduate also had five tackles in the game.
Former South Carolina offensive lineman A.J. Cann started for the Jaguars Sunday.
Super Bowl LII will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 on NBC and will be played in Minnesota.
