Alabama DT sports Gamecock offer

Athens (Ala.) defensive tackle Alfred McCullough is ranked as the No. 7 prospect in the state of Alabama's pre-season rankings, and currently has five offers on the table.
"My offers are from Alabama, South Carolina, Clemson, Ole Miss and Southern Miss," the 6-foot-3, 297-pound McCullough said. "I like those schools, and I'm still open to other schools that might offer me."

McCullough, who racked up 67 tackles and 16 tackles for loss as a junior, is currently most familiar with in-state Alabama.
"I've met the coaching staff at Alabama, and it seems like they're down to earth people. I like the campus there, and the atmosphere on game days is great there."
McCullough also likes what he knows about South Carolina.
"I like that they have Steve Spurrier as their coach now, and they say they really need defensive linemen."
Clemson and Ole Miss round out his top four.
"I don't know as much about them yet, but I'm going to be doing some research on them soon."
McCullough, who also recorded 10 sacks as a junior, believes he has two primary strengths as a player.
"I go hard on every snap, and I know how to keep my composure out there on the field."
McCullough knows what he's looking for in a school.
"Good academics, and I want to have a strong relationship with the coaching staff I'm going to play for. Location isn't really important to me. I'll go wherever is best for me."
A decision could be on the horizon for McCullough, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds and bench presses 340 pounds.
"I'd like to decide before my season so I can get everyone off my back and focus on my senior season."
