Powder Springs (GA) McEachern TE Rory Anderson holds several offers to his credit, including one from South Carolina. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder just began his season, but also hopes to make time to schedule several official visits. He discussed the latest with GamecockCentral.com.

When reached on Thursday, Anderson had actually just spoken with a coach from a Big East program.
"Actually, I just talked to the coach at South Florida just trying to set up an official down there," he said. "I'm working on setting up all my officials. I have to talk to my mom and set up my schedule, see when those are coming up."
The other four programs that will receive visits from the Peach State native are also in his lead group.
"Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina, and Tennessee," he confirmed when asked where else he would be visiting. "Those (along with USF) are my top schools right now."
The athletic tight end prospect discussed what he liked about each program in his top five.
South Florida: "I haven't had a chance to take a visit down there, but the city of Tampa is a really good city. It's not too far from home, but not too close so I can get away. We're still working on it but I'm thinking October 9 (for a visit). I have to look over my schedule and talk to my mom to make sure that date will be open."
Virginia: "I went up there on an unofficial over the summer. The campus was real nice. It really couldn't get any better. That's probably the best campus that I've visited yet so far. It's historic, a nice college town and they had nice facilities and everything."
West Virginia: "I haven't had a chance to go up there either yet, but I've been watching West Virginia play for a while. They are a team I've watched over the years and have always been one of my favorite teams.
South Carolina: "I went up there over the summer for the first time. I've been talking to Coach (G.A.) Mangus. The facilities are nice; I like pretty much everything about it."
Tennessee: "I went up there I think during the spring. They had some really nice facilities. The stadium was a lot bigger than I thought it was. They have a new locker room and all that."
Anderson's McEachern squad, which also features Gamecock target Marcquis Roberts, is hoping to improve as the season goes on.
"We lost a tough one the first game, but we're ready to bounce back. We have Lowndes next Friday and that's going to be a pretty tough game. We have a lot of young players, but it's better to play the best now to see where we stand and what we need to work on."
The three-star prospect has a decision timeframe in mind, but admits that one could come down at any time during his visits.
"I'm going to try to decide something after our season, so maybe between December and January if I don't make a decision before then."
Anderson has a few factors he will keep in mind when making his choice.
"I want to go somewhere close to home, but not too close and somewhere with a great education," he said. "Those are the main two factors really. That, and somewhere where I fit in and feel comfortable."
