Since taking over as South Carolina's running backs coach in February, Montario Hardesty has worked hard to try and put the Gamecocks in position with College Park (Ga.) Woodward Academy class of 2022 four-star RB Damari Alston.

While the competition to sign the talented back remains stiff, Hardesty's work appears to be paying off.
