Baseball time changes this weekend

South Carolina baseball has changed the start times for two of the three games this weekend, moving them back to allow more fans to attend the games against Wright State.

Friday's game was scheduled for 4 p.m. but will now be under the lights at 7 p.m. with Saturday's game moved back one hour to 4 p.m. Sunday's game will still start at 1:30 p.m.

Early in the season, games are usually scheduled earlier because of the colder weather, but since weather has hovered in the 70s and is expected to touch 80 at some points this weekend, the games were pushed back so more fans could attend.

The men's basketball team also plays Tennessee at home at 1 p.m. Saturday, and the 4 p.m. start will allow fans to potentially attend both.

Baseball hosts Wright State, which took the series last weekend against Clemson, in a three-game series starting Friday. Clarke Schmidt will start for South Carolina.
