Byrd sets announcement
Sicklerville (NJ) Timber Creek WR Damiere Byrd has been one of South Carolina's top targets in the 2011 recruiting class. Now the Garden State product has set a date for his announcement.
Byrd, a 5-foot-9, 160-pounder, will announce his college choice in his school's library at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20.

The New Jersey playmaker is coming off of an official visit this past weekend to South Carolina. He has also officially visited Iowa.
The four-star product has offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and West Virginia.
For South Carolina, quarterbacks coach G.A. Mangus is the recruiter of record.
