Will Muschamp's program received a boost of talent at a key position for the 2020 season when transfer wide receiver Jalen Brooks pledged to the South Carolina Gamecocks football program over the weekend.

Brooks, a North Carolina product, was coached at Hickory Ridge in high school by coach Jason Seidel, who now serves as the head football coach at Blythewood in the Midlands.

Seidel went on the record with GamecockCentral.com and gave the behind-the-scenes story on how Brooks and South Carolina found each other, plus plenty of insight into Brooks' game and personality.

Below, we transcribe Seidel in his own words, giving GamecockCentral.com subscribers an inside look at what Brooks will bring to the program.
