Wando head coach Jimmy Noonan has coached high school football for well over 20 years, and as such has both coached – and coached against – plenty of talent that went onto the Division I level.

Noonan’s most recent pupil, wide receiver OrTre Smith, announced a commitment to South Carolina on Sunday night. Noonan took some time recently to speak with GamecockCentral.com about Smith’s talent level.

“The first thing that stands out is his physicality. He looks like a Division I player,” Noonan said. “He doesn’t back down from the physical part of the game and in fact that’s probably one of his strongest attributes.”
