Commitment spotlight: Deshaun Fenwick

South Carolina running back commit Deshaun Fenwick put his Braden River team on his back in a 49-32 season opening win.

Fenwick rushed for 133 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries in the victory.

Check the video below.

Gamecock Central's Take: The first thing that stands out about Fenwick is how nimble and light on his feet he is for a prospect his size. Listed at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds, Fenwick appears to have excellent balance and good patience. On several clips above, Fenwick hits the hole with authority while on others he shows a knack for slowing towards the line of scrimmage and re-directing to open space.

Fenwick has the power to move the pile, but also shows the ability to stop on a dime and force the defense to over pursue. He also brings plus hands to the position due to his time split at wide receiver as he shares the backfield with two other talented backs.

Fenwick, who took home the game's MVP award as a neutral site contest at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, told the Bradenton Herald that he would give the award to his offensive line. He gets it.
