Commitment spotlight: Two big games in four days for Deshaun Fenwick
Each week, the Spotlight takes a special look at South Carolina commitment or target who had an especially good game the previous week.
South Carolina running back commit Deshaun Fenwick and Braden River (Fla.) played two games over the past four days. They beat North Port (Fla) 52-14. Fenwick had 18 carries for 220 yards and two touchdowns in that win. They also beat Booker (Fla) 42-7. Fenwick had five carries for 74 yards. He also had three catches for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Gamecock Central's Take: The big, bruising South Carolina commit makes his second appearance in the Spotlight after two productive games in blowout wins. Despite a high three-star ranking, Fenwick has the makings of a four-star back in my eyes and his size and strength projects well to the next level. Fenwick is an explosive back who hits the hole hard and drags defenders at the second level. Fenwick also has good hands and can help the offense in the passing game as well. He's one of my favorite players in the Gamecocks' 2018 class.
