"Everything, man," Davis said when asked what pushed him to make an early commitment to USC. "Nice little town, everything is right there. Just getting here, me and my dad did a background check on it. My goal is to get to the league and Spurrier puts people in the league."
The 6-foot-2, 224 pounder held offers from Boston College, Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, and others.
"They're on the come-up," Davis said. "A national championship is in the near future I think."
Davis had a chance to meet receivers coach Steve Spurrier Jr. today as well.
"He's a nice guy, a cool guy. I've talked to him a couple times on the phone. "
What will USC be getting in the big receiver?
"I do my job. I get the job done when I get the ball in my hands, make something happen."
