Charlotte (North Carolina) Providence Day defensive lineman Jacolbe Cowan had spoken with Gamecock football defensive line coach John Scott since the latter's hire in Columbia, but never met him in person.

That changed this weekend during a Saturday stop to South Carolina's campus, and according to Cowan did not disappoint.
