Four-star Jovaughn Gwyn down to two, has decisions to make

Charlotte (N.C.) Harding University four-star offensive lineman Jovaughn Gwyn has two decisions to make.

First, he has to decide if he's going to sign during next week's new early signing period and then he has to decide which school he's going to pick.

Gwyn, fresh off official visits to both N.C. State and South Carolina, says he's down to those two programs and that he's going to sit down with his family "pretty soon" to decide on those two things.

"It went well," Gwyn said of his official visit to Columbia this weekend. "This time we got to chill more, so that was cool."

The 6-foot-3, 290-pounder was hosted on his visit by offensive lineman Sadarius Hutcherson.

"He was just telling me how he liked it and what made his final decision to come here and how he likes Wolf (offensive line coach Eric Wolford) and everybody there," Hutcherson said.

Gwyn's official visit also featured a final sit down with head coach Will Muschamp.

"He was just telling how much they want me and everything," Gwyn said. "They want to get more athletic on the line of scrimmage. He said he believes that I can come in and fill that need."

Gwyn offered his top thoughts on each of his two finalists:

N.C. State: "I like that they have a family atmosphere and I like their head coach and O-line coach."

South Carolina: "The most I like about South Carolina is that everybody seems to get along, coaches and players. I got a real good connection with (Bobby) Bentley and Wolf, just going through the process and everything."

Gwyn says he plans to choose the place "which place fits best for me towards academics and playing on the field and living area."
