Four-star Myles focused on SEC

Madison (Miss.) Madison Central four-star defensive lineman Cortez Myles is one of the top prospects in the Magnolia State's class of 2007, and he's currently focused on four teams.
"South Carolina, Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss are the big ones right now," the 6-foot-3, 255-pound Myles said. "LSU hasn't offered me, but the other three have. I still have seven total scholarship offers."

Myles, who bench presses 335 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds, likes what the Gamecocks have to offer.
"I'd love to play for a coach like Steve Spurrier," he said. "I hear they have a good environment there, and it seems like the coaches are good people. Coach (Robert) Gillespie is my recruiter. He thinks I could make an early impact there if I came there. They're probably recruiting me the hardest of all the schools."
Auburn also rates highly on Myles' list.
"Coach (Don) Dunn stays in touch with me quite a bit from Auburn, and I like him. He wants me to come in and help their team. When I visited there I pretty much liked everything about it. The facilities, the campus, all of that stuff."
Ole Miss and LSU round out the schools Myles was asked to comment on.
"Ole Miss has a nice tradition down there, and a nice campus. LSU is one of the best programs in the SEC, and they've won a lot lately."
Myles will base his decision on a number of factors.
"Really, it's a matter of who comes at me the hardest, and the school that shows me they're the best fit for me. Academics and early playing time will also come into play. Auburn and South Carolina are my top two."
