Gamecocks plummet in polls

South Carolina (34-11, 12-9) fell to No. 17 in the Baseball America rankings released today after losing an SEC series to Georgia in Athens over the weekend.

In the Perfect Game USA poll, the Gamecocks are ranked No. 14.
Previous Gamecock opponents who are ranked in the Baseball America poll include No. 4 Florida, No. 11 Ole Miss and No. 19 Alabama.
South Carolina faces Wofford on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
