Marietta (Ga.) Walton class of 2022 three-star offensive tackle Cason Henry announced a pledge to South Carolina on Saturday becoming the sixth commitment the Gamecocks have added this week.

The 6-foot-6, 299-pounder added an offer from South Carolina offensive line coach Greg Adkins late last month and then took an unofficial visit to the school earlier this week before choosing the Gamecocks on Friday.

Henry picks Carolina over Power 5 offers from Georgia Tech, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Pitt, Purdue, West Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Henry is the Gamecocks second offensive line pledge in the class, joining fellow Georgia three-star Grayson Mains.

Henry is the Gamecocks' third public commit and sixth overall commit this week.

Miami (Fla.) Florida Christian three-star defensive tackle Jamaal Whyce went public with a commitment on Sunday and Heath (Texas) Rockwall Heath three-star safety Peyton Williams committed on Monday.

South Carolina has also added three silent commits this week from prospects who have yet to announce their pledges.

The Gamecocks now have eight public commits in their 2022 recruiting class.
