Hemingway taking things slowly

Conway (S.C.) wide receiver Junior Hemingway has seen his offer list reach double digits, but is no closer to narrowing his list of schools.
"I've been pretty focused on track, so I haven't taken any visits this spring," the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Hemingway said. "I haven't eliminated any schools, but some of the ones that are recruiting me the hardest are Notre Dame, South Carolina, Michigan, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina and Duke."

Hemingway, who racked up 55 catches and 10 touchdowns as a junior, received a visit yesterday, the first day coaches could make such visits, from his South Carolina recruiter.
"Coach (Steve) Spurrier Jr. was here Monday morning first thing when I got to school," he said. "He talked to my coaches, but I don't know what all they talked about. I like their coaches and their offense."
Hemingway, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, is expecting a visit from Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis next week.
"He said he would be here next Wednesday. I like the offensive system he runs at Notre Dame."
Hemingway, who claims a 37-inch vertical leap, also likes what two schools from the Sunshine State has to offer.
"Florida throws the ball a lot, and I like how their fans support the team. At Florida State, it seems like everything is real hyped. I like a lot about their program."
Michigan rounds out the list of schools Hemingway commented on.
"I like the stadium Michigan plays in, like how it's a big bowl. I also have a good relationship with their coaches."
Hemingway and his family plan to decide which schools he'll visit in the coming weeks.
"Once track is over, we'll sit down and figure it all out. I want to have my decision made before my season starts, so the trips I take this summer will be big for me. I just want to find a place where I can fit into the offensive system and end up at a good program where we can win games."
