Roughly five hours after the eclipse descended on Columbia, fans descended on Williams-Brice for South Carolina's only open practice of the season.

The media were allowed to shoot the first three periods of practice, which included the "Cock Drill", position work and special teams reps.

After that, the Gamecocks would scrimmage and do other position drills for the remainder of practice.

Monday's practice was the 18th of the preseason and there are only eight more sessions scheduled before the Gamecocks take on NC State in their season opener Sept. 2.
