South Carolina starts this week with a big official visitor coming on campus, with Rivals' Jamie Shaw reporting the Gamecocks have 2022 big man Christian Reeves visiting officially starting Monday.

It's the team's first official visitor since coaches were able to bring players on campus in June and comes on the heels of another busy week full of a commitment, unofficial visitors and much more.

Before another busy week in recruiting, a look back at what happened last week.

For starters, the biggest news of the week came with the Gamecocks picking up a commitment from 2022 point guard Zachary Davis, who visited officially Monday and committed a few short hours later.

Davis, who plays for Denmark-Olar, was starting to gain high-major traction on the recruiting trail but the Gamecocks, led by Brian Steele, were able to secure his commitment.

It's been a busy few days for South Carolina with the Gamecocks not only sending out a slew of offers in the 2024 class but hosting some of their key prospects over the next two classes on campus for visit as well.

From a visits perspective that didn't end with commitments, the week started off with South Carolina hosting in-state prospect and the No. 20 overall player in the 2023 class GG Jackson for an unofficial visit, the third time he's been on campus since the June recruiting period opened up, last week's visit being the first time he was on campus not for a team camp.

Jackson's been on a visits spree this June, hitting up South Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, NC State and Duke. He's considered a four-star prospect and plays for Ridge View, less than 30 minutes from South Carolina's campus.

South Carolina also hosted three-star wing D'Ante Bass out of Windsor Forest (Ga.) for his second trip to Columbia this June. Bass was on campus for a team camp but came back again for a more full-scale unofficial visit, picking up an offer at the same time.

Bass went into detail about the Gamecocks being one of his top two schools here.

The Gamecocks also hosted a 2023 small forward out of North Carolina Comeh Emuobor, who has also taken some unofficial visits to Georgia and Georgia Tech.

South Carolina's also handed out a flurry of offers to 2024 prospects, including a few from South Carolina.

Wing Cam Scott, who plays at Lexington, picked one up along with KJ Greene, who originally played at Blythewood but is now at Pace (Ga.) Academy. They've also offered 2024 point guard Jacob Theodosiou out of Ohio and Brandin Cummings, a guard from Lincoln Park (Penn.).
