INJURY REPORT: Gamecocks exit spring game relatively healthy

SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS FOOTBALL

Other than a brief scare with Donell Stanley, that proved to be little more than that, South Carolina exited its spring game Saturday with no new known injuries, according to Will Muschamp.

"I just got rolled on from behind," Stanley said. "I think if it was in the fall, if it was in a real game, I would have been back in there. The biggest thing is, coach wanted these young guys to get a lot of reps. I've played in five spring games. I'm doing good. It was just a little scare."

Earlier in the week, Muschamp said that centers Hank Manos and Chandler Farrell were day-to-day with ankle injuries and the staff ultimately held both players out of the spring game.

"I think both Hank and Chandler, if we had another week of spring, would be practicing [this week]," Muschamp said. "Nothing more than that (regarding new injuries)."

Muschamp added that safety Jonathan Gipson had a procedure last week to clean up his knee from a meniscus injury he suffered in high school.

He also had good news on two veteran starters who were held out of spring practice with injuries.

"They've cleared T.J. (Brunson) and Javon (Kinlaw) as far as running and stuff like that, so I think we're in good shape," Muschamp said.
