South Carolina starting right guard Donell Stanley suffered a high ankle sprain in Thursday's win over Vanderbilt, head coach Will Muschamp announced during his teleconference Sunday. The Gamecocks hope to have Stanley back after the bye week.

With Stanley out and interior lineman Alan Knott suspended against Vanderbilt, Carolina elected to slide starting right tackle D.J. Park to right guard and insert Blake Camper at right tackle.

Muschamp says that Carolina could use that combination again or insert Knott into the lineup.

"We've got some different combinations and whoever practices the best and prepares the right way will be the first that we trot out there," Muschamp said.

Muschamp previously said he hopes to have reserve tight end Kyle Markway back this week after missing the opener with a foot injury.

South Carolina is relatively healthy with no other new injuries.

Senior linebacker Larenz Bryant (hamstring), freshman running back Rico Dowdle (groin) and redshirt freshman running back Mon Denson (knee) are also out.
