Will Muschamp continued to show that the Gamecocks will prioritize in-state prospects, landing Goose Creek's Javon Kinlaw on Wednesday. Kinlaw confirmed the news to GamecockCentral.com.

"Coach Muschamp really broke down everything for me," he said. "He said he had a plan for me as far as school-wise."

The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder was a participating in the annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas last weekend. He's currently billed as the ninth-best prospect in the Palmetto State by Rivals.com, given a 5.6 three-star marker. He's capable of playing defensive end or offensive line at the college level. Kinlaw said he was unsure as to which position he would ultimately play at South Carolina.
