Lugoff-Elgin (S.C.) class of 2018 three-star offensive lineman Wyatt Campbell arrived at South Carolina Friday morning with 16 major offers and left with his 17th.

Gamecocks head coach Will Muschamp offered the 6-foot-6, 285-pounder following his workout at Carolina's OL/DL camp.

"I knew they had said they wanted to evaluate me and they were definitely thinking about an offer, so I had a pretty good feeling going into the camp, but I still had to show out and prove myself to the coaching staff," Wyatt said. "I love that they offered me. It gives me a chance to play top-of-the-line football and right here at some, so it's definitely a positive for me."

While competing at the camp, Campbell had the opportunity to work out with South Carolina offensive line coach Eric Wolford, who is recruiting him for the Gamecocks.

"Oh, I like him; he's a really, really good person and a good coach," Wyatt said. "He's really energetic and that's what I like about him. He's going to be straightforward with you. He's going to tell you what he needs to tell you and when it comes down to it, he doesn't care if he offends you, he's going to let you know what you need to know. That's what I like about him."

Following the workout, Campbell took a tour of the campus and facilities.

"Oh, man, the tour, that was impressive," Campbell said. "That's the nicest dorms I've ever seen. My mom said those are the nicest dorms she's ever seen too. They have really, really nice facilities. It's just a great area."

Campbell also claims scholarships from Appalachian State, Duke, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia State, Louisville, Maryland, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, N.C. State, Virginia and Virginia Tech, among others.

"I don't have like a set top five or anything like that but I'll definitely be discussing the decision here in about a week or with my parents and family and all," Wyatt said. "I'll probably have a decision made in the next month."

Campbell will visit Virginia Tech Saturday and Clemson on Wednesday.

Campbell is ranked the No. 26 overall prospect in the state in his class by Rivals.com.
