Minaya makes it official

South Carolina's latest addition to its 2017 recruiting class became official Monday when the Gamecocks announced the signing of Old Tappan (N.J.) three-star wing Justin Minaya.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pounder chose the Gamecocks over Illinois, Seton Hall and UMass.

"It's the best fit," Minaya told NJHoops.com. "I loved the environment. There's a family atmosphere. I trust the coaches guys there. I believe they want the best for me. They will give me an opportunity to be successful and help me to be a professional player."

Minaya joins David Beatty, Jason Cudd, Ibrahim Doumbia, and Felipe Haase in the Gamecocks' five-man class.
