Muschamp to watch five-star Friday?
Right now Will Muschamp's focus is on South Carolina's season opener Thursday at Vanderbilt. But the Gamecocks' first-year head coach's attention will quickly turn back to recruiting on Friday.

South Carolina's staff is set to hit the road to take in the high school games of commitments and targets starting Friday, and what appears to be Muschamp's first stop of the cycle, is no surprise.
Muschamp and staff are slated to watch Florence (S.C.) Wilson class of 2018 five-star defensive end Xavier Thomas on Friday, the elite prospect Tweeted.
GamecockCentral.com and Rivals.com were in Florence last Friday and discussed a number of topics with Thomas, including his top five schools.
Thomas is considered the No. 1 strongside defensive end and No. 3 overall prospect in his class according to Rivals.com. He has a top five of South Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State and Alabama.
