New banner goes up at Williams-Brice Stadium

The west side of Williams-Brice Stadium is getting some fresh signage, in line with the new messaging at South Carolina’s indoor facility and football ops building.

The new banner, which features the palmetto tree and the words “WELCOME HOME” was fitted to the side of the stadium by Signarama on Saturday afternoon.

Since the sign went up, South Carolina has said the banner will be re-printed with a color closer to the garnet on the stadium. The local company, Signarama, only hung the banner and did not print it.

"The colors on our new Williams-Brice Stadium banner did not come out as intended," the official South Carolina account tweeted. "We will work with our signage and printing partners to make the correct change."
