Nixon commits to South Carolina

South Carolina continued to add help to its secondary corps on Wednesday with the addition of junior college defensive back Keisean Nixon.

The Yuma (Arizona) Arizona Western defender went public with his pledge today, in advance of a previously scheduled Saturday announcement between the Gamecocks and Tennessee.

The 6-foot, 200-pounder was offered during the season by Will Muschamp and his staff, setting off a storm of follow-up offers that included Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, and numerous others.

Nixon made official visits during the process to Colorado State, Iowa State, and Oregon State prior to his recruitment blowing up, then saw South Carolina and Tennessee on his final two trips.

He will have three to play two at the college level.
