SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS FOOTBALL RECRUITING

Recruiting news should never be too shocking, but it was at least a surprise Monday night when Phenix City (Ala.) Central High three-star offensive tackle Javion Cohen decommitted from South Carolina.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect committed to South Carolina less than three weeks ago and was just in Columbia on April 6 for the Gamecocks' spring game.

At the time, Cohen seemed set on his decision with plans to focus on his senior season at Central and on recruiting other prospects to South Carolina.
