Spartanburg (S.C.) Dorman punter Jacob Robinson is one of the top kicking specialists the Palmetto State has to offer in its class of 2007, and currently has his eye on four schools.

"I have tryout offers this summer with USC, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina," the 6-foot, 170-pound Robinson said. "All four of them have said they want me to come to their camp, so they are the ones I'm focused on right now."
Robinson averaged close to 40 yards per punt as a junior, and also turned in a touchback rate of 72 percent on kickoffs. Such numbers have grabbed South Carolina special team's coach Fred Chatham's attention.
"I've heard from our long snapper that's going to USC that Coach Chatham is a great guy," Robinson said. "Steve Spurrier is also a great coach. I moved into South Carolina from Texas not too long ago, so I'm still learning about the other parts of their program."
One team Robinson is familiar with is the University of Georgia.
"I grew up a Bulldog fan. Coach Mark Richt is a great guy and a great coach. They have a history of putting out some great kickers and punters. I've heard they have a great special teams coach."
Robinson isn't as familiar with the Crimson Tide and the Tar Heels.
"With Alabama, I know they have a lot of tradition. I really don't much about North Carolina as of yet."
Assuming the offers arrive, Robinson knows what he's looking for in a school.
"I want to sign with a school that has a need for a guy with my skills. I'd also like to play for a school or coach that's known for producing kickers and punters. One of my biggest strengths is directional punting, so I'd like to play for coach that likes to do that."
Two teams currently stand out the most to Robinson, who also went 4-4 on field goals as a junior.
"Georgia and USC my top schools. I'd have give the edge to Georgia."
