Tuesday post-practice quick-hitters:

** Freshman running back Rico Dowdle practiced today and A.J. Turner said that the freshman running back looked good, though he's still learning everything.

** Terry Googer says that the majority of the issues by the receivers have been mental errors.

** Bryson Allen-Williams said that the defense has a goal each week of holding their opponent to 16 points or less.

** Both Chris Lammons and Jamarcus King said they respect Texas A&M's receiving corps but they're more focused on their own play versus being focused on the opponent. Lammons says he and King have a friendly competition to see who can get the most takeaways.

** Brandon McIlwain's teammates say that the freshman quarterback maintains a positive mindset on a play by play basis and that he's always encouraging his teammates.

** Jonathan Walton says that Texas A&M's offensive scheme is the same as last year. They're a fast-paced, balanced offense.

** Getting off blocks is an emphasis in practice. The players are always taught it, but they have to execute in the games.

** Zack Bailey said that the offensive line does not change its expectations because of the struggles. They still have high expectations and have to try to meet them.
