South Carolina held its second open practice of the spring on Thursday.

- Head coach Will Muschamp said afterwards that quarterback Connor Mitch has pinkeye, is very infectious and was thus now allowed to be around the team.

- Wide receiver Jalen Christian will transfer in order to be closer to home.

- Jamari Smith, who had been working at running back and wide receiver this spring, believes he has found a home on offense. Smith has been working with the receivers this week.

- Muschamp again encouraged the fan base to show up at the spring game on April 9 and said they there would be a big group of prospects there.
