Tuesday quick-hitters gathered by Collyn Taylor:

** Senior linebacker Jonathan Walton was back practicing and in full pads Tuesday and says he feels fine. Walton echoed Will Muschamp's comments that there was a lack of communication on defense.

** Safety D.J. Smith also practiced and says he feels fine. Running back A.J. Turner, who was limited by a knee injury Saturday, also says he should be ready to go, but is not sure about the rotation.

** Tight end Hayden Hurst says he doesn't feel like the offense held anything back against UMass, but says there are obviously more plays in the playbook.

** Defensive end Dante Sawyer says the staff has talked to the team about how close recent Tennessee games have been and how it will be a hard fought game this year too.

** David Williams says he would love to beat Tennessee because he hasn't before in his Carolina career.
