Rivals 250 CB Jaycee Horn's down to two, sets commitment date

A date has been set.

Rivals 250 cornerback Jaycee Horn of Alpharetta (Ga.) has pulled in offers from top programs coast to coast, but he is down to two that play in the SEC and he knows when he will commit to one.

"It is Alabama and South Carolina," said Horn. "It is just those two schools that I am considering. It will be one of those when I commit on July 15."

There is nothing special about that date for Horn. He feels that will give him enough time to figure out if he wants to call Tuscaloosa (Ala.) or Columbia (S.C.) home in the future.

He knows it won't be an easy decision.

"I talk to each school every day and I like the same things about each school. I know I can't go wrong with either school, so it is going to be tough."

Horn spent time on each campus in the spring and he has a great connection with each coaching staff. He feels at home at each school and the coaches have made him feel important.

Like many top football prospects, he wants a chance to play early and he sees that opportunity at Alabama and South Carolina.

He will stay in communication with each school the next few weeks and be ready to commit July 15.

"The commitment date gives me enough time to certify my decision," said Horn. "I just want to be sure of my decision. I know it will be tough and I know it will be Alabama or South Carolina.

"Neither has has the edge right now."
