South Carolina already has a few satellite campuses around the state, seven to be exact, but it might actually behoove them to open one out west because it seems that's where they're sending almost all of their football players.
The San Francisco 49ers took Javon Kinlaw in the first round of the NFL Draft Thursday, continuing a long line of Gamecocks to make the trip out to the bay over the last few years.
In total, seven different Gamecocks have been picked by the Niners since 2011 starting with Chris Culliver in 2011 and continuing on with Kinlaw going No. 14 overall.

Marcus Lattimore was the team's fourth-round pick in 2013 before taking Bruce Ellington in the same round the next year.
In 2015 the Gamecocks had two players head out to San Fran with both Mike Davis and Busta Anderson getting drafted out there as well.
After a brief hiatus in 2016, 2017 and 2018, the 49ers plucked Deebo Samuel No. 36 overall.
Almost all of those draft picks had solid stints out west, with Deebo Samuel turning into one of the best rookies in the NFL last season, catching 57 passes for 802 yards and three touchdowns.
Lattimore ultimately never played for the 49ers, retiring after knee injuries derailed his career, and Anderson didn't play any regular season games for San Francisco either.
Kinlaw now gets to link up with Samuel, who played in a Super Bowl last year, and the former Gamecock receiver is eager to get him to the bay area.
