The 2022 recruiting class for South Carolina Gamecocks football continues to take shape with signatures rolling in during the first day of the December early signing period.

The latest prospect to officially ink with the Gamecock program is Irmo (S.C.) three-star linebacker Nick Emmanwori.

Irmo coach Aaron Brand on Emmanwori: "I think he can do a little bit of anything. He can put on 20 pounds and rush the passer every down, he can stay right there he is and play on the hash as a deep safety. He can be an in the box safety kind of like Kam Chancellor was with the old Virginia Tech staff and Torrian Gray," said Brand. "On the collegiate level, I'd love to see him not have as much responsibility and be able to just run, just go play. When he goes and plays, there's nobody like him. He's attacking, downhill, fierce, he's got really good ball skills."
