No reason was given by the university as to why Lee is not on the team, but his name was removed from the team's official roster online.

As a freshman, Lee saw his role increase after Clarke Schmidt's injury. The then freshman pitched in 13 games with three starts and had a 5.86 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

This year, he's only appeared in two games and has given up four earned runs in 1.1 innings.

He was not active last weekend in a sweep against Tennessee. Without Lee, the Gamecocks have 15 available pitchers left on this year's roster.
