Each week, the Spotlight takes a special look at South Carolina commitment or target who had an especially good game the previous week.
Tennessee cornerback commit, and South Carolina target, four-star defensive back Jaycee Horn had two interceptions and two touchdowns for Alpharetta (Ga.) against Northview last Friday. One of Horn's TDs came on an interception return while another came from the wide receiver position.
Gamecock Central's Take: Horn is committed to Tennessee, but we still include him as a "target" in this feature because he's still open to the Gamecocks and plans to take an official visit after taking an unofficial to Columbia Saturday.
Horn does a bit of everything for his high school team, playing free safety, wide receiver and punt return. At the Rivals Camp Series event in Atlanta, Horn also showed off his ability to consistently lock down receivers in one-on-one situations, though he plays more of a center field spot in his high school defense.
Horn has high upside as a college player due to his combination of quickness and size, and the ability to play either cornerback or safety at the next level. His length should play well versus the bigger receivers that are found throughout the college football landscape.
