Mobile (Ala.) UMS-Wright wide receiver Brandon Gibson is ranked as the No. 3 player overall in the Yellowhammer State this year, and he has seen his offer list reach double digits.

"Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Georgia, LSU, South Carolina, Arkansas, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Clemson and Troy have offered me," the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Gibson said. "South Carolina, Arkansas and West Virginia are my most recent offers."
While Gibson is still learning about what South Carolina has to offer, he does have an interesting tie to the program.
"My best friend is Captain Munnerlyn, and he signed with South Carolina last year. He's got me interested in them. I've gotten some text messages from their coaches, and they really want me to take a visit there this summer, and I think I'll do that. I know Captain would watch out for my interests if I went there."
To lure Gibson out of state, the Gamecocks will have to out-duel both major in-state programs.
"I'm a long-time Alabama fan. I just fell in love with them, and it feels like home when I go there. Tuscaloosa is a good town and a good place to be. I've watched Auburn's program, too, and I like them as well. Coach (Tommy) Tuberville is a nice guy. I'm going to visit there on June 11."
Gibson, who caught over 40 balls for roughly 750 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior, will choose his future destination based on several factors.
"Well, the depth chart at wide receiver will be something I'll look at," he said. "Also, how much a team throws it. I want to know I'll be coached the right way as a wide receiver. By that I mean I want to get a lot of one-on-one attention, a lot of teaching. Location could play a little bit of a role, but I'm willing to leave if I find the right place for me away from home."
One team currently sits atop Gibson's list.
"Alabama and Georgia Tech are both high for me, but Alabama is number one as of tonight. I'll narrow my list down to two or three schools by the middle or end of my season, and then I'll commit sometime after that."
