Troupe impressed in Athens

Tifton (Ga.) Tift County Israel Troupe turned in one of the best overall performances of the day over the weekend at the Athens, Ga., NIKE Camp, particularly when it came time to go one on one with his fellow defensive backs.
"Overall, it was a good day out there, man, other than my forty time," the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Troupe said. "My time was a little disappointing, but other than that it was a good day. There was some good competition with the DBs in the one on ones, and I always like competing, so I enjoyed myself."

Troupe's offer list may not be extensive, but it's made up of quality schools.
"Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Clemson, South Carolina have offered me, and I just got an offer from LSU this past week. Those are the schools that I'm looking at the hardest right now."
Troupe also has an idea of which schools he'll visit in the coming months.
"LSU just offered me, so I'm going to go check them out this summer for a visit. I also still have Clemson and South Carolina to check out, and I'm looking forward to all of those trips. I might take some more this summer, but we'll have to see."
Troupe also stars on the baseball diamond, something that will figure prominently in his future.
"I plan baseball during the summer months, too, so that takes up a lot of my time. They're saying there's a chance I could be a high pick in the draft, but we'll see on that. I play the outfield and pitch every now and then."
Troupe has a good idea of what he's looking for in a school.
"Great academics, good athletics, and if I can play football and baseball both in college," he said. "I have to be able to play both, so I'll be evaluating both sports when I take my visits."
Three teams currently stand out to Troupe.
"Probably either late fall or early winter sometime. My top three would probably be Georgia, Florida and Clemson as of today."
