Tuesday quick-hitters: Muschamp speaks on Nunez, more
Here are post-practice notes from South Carolina's practice on Tuesday evening:
** South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp says that quarterback Lorenzo Nunez had a hyper-extended knee, but that it's nothing serious and Nunez will be fine. They hope to get him back in a week or so, according to Muschamp.
** Antoine Wilder has a hamstring injury and they should know more tomorrow.
** Muschamp says that all of the quarterbacks have done some good things. The QBs were "live" in the scrimmage and responded well.
** Muschamp says that freshman quarterback Brandon McIlwain taking the second-team reps during the open portion has partially been just the way the rotation has worked and has partially been merit-based on his play. Muschamp says McIlwain has done some good things, but reiterated all the quarterbacks have.
** Muschamp praised linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams for playing fast and for being a bright young man.
** Muschamp says they've tried to keep some of the same terminology and concepts on the offensive line since Shawn Elliot is still there.
** Muschamp says the seniors will have some say in the jerseys that the Gamecocks wear this fall.
