USC commitment priming for big final season
Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake three-star cornerback and South Carolina commitment Addison Williams just missed four-star status when the initial player rankings were released on Rivals.com. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Williams plans to show everyone that was a mistake with a big senior season.
"I'm basically training twice a day right now getting ready for the season," Williams said. "I'm working out with my trainers at Front Line Sports in the morning, and I'm working out with my football team in the evening."

Williams, who racked up 32 tackles and six interceptions as a junior, has been working on multiple aspects with the trainers at Front Line.
"I've been working on getting my core stronger, my overall strength, and my overall speed. I've run as low as the mid 4.3's in the 40 (yard dash), and I'm consistently running a 4.4."
Williams attended South Carolina's camp back in June, his only camp stop of the summer.
"I participated in some of the DB drills, but I was mainly there to meet with the coaches. I got the chance to sit down with coach (Steve) Spurrier and talk to him one on one. He just talked about how he'd use me once I got there, and some of the things he wants to accomplish while he's there."
Despite his commitment, other teams are continuing to pursue Williams.
"Pretty much all of the schools that offered me are still recruiting me, but the ones that are after me the hardest are Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Auburn."
Williams, who hopes to graduate in December, has no other visits planned.
"It looks like I'm going to take my official visit to South Carolina the weekend of November 4th. That's the weekend they play Arkansas."
Williams also remains firmly committed to the Gamecocks.
"I'm still 100 percent Gamecock. I can't wait to get down there."
