INJURY REPORT
Strong safety T.J. Gurley injured his left leg in the first quarter and did not return to the game. His leg was wrapped in a brace on the sideline and he used crutches to get to the locker room. Coach Steve Spurrier said that he "may" have torn ligaments in his knee.
BANGED UP
Running back Marcus Lattimore (hip) played but did not start. He said that his hip was fine and the reason he didn't get more than three carries was that the Gamecocks had to start throwing, being down 21-3.
PRE-GAME
Left tackle Mike Matulis (sprained right shoulder, illness) started. He switched in and out at tackle for the game.
Defensive tackle Phillip Dukes (hand) has a torn ligament and wore a cast over it during the game. He dressed but did not play.
Defensive tackle Byron Jerideau (ankle) started.
Defensive tackle J.T. Surratt (ankle) started.
Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (foot) started. He said that he has a deep bone bruise in the arch, and while it's painful, he's playing through it.
Wide receiver Ace Sanders (illness) started.
Wide receiver Bruce Ellington (illness) started.
Center T.J. Johnson (illness) started.
Cornerback Jimmy Legree (illness) did not start (because USC went with the run-stuffing package on its first defensive snap) but came in on the second snap.
OUT THIS WEEK
Defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles (sprained shoulder) did not travel as a combination of his injury and a suspension for punching an LSU offensive lineman last week. His injury is said to be like the shoulder injury to Connor Shaw - it needs time to heal. He could be back next week.
Right tackle Cody Gibson did not travel for the second straight week after coming down with an illness before the LSU game. He is waiting on some lab work to get back to identify what he has (it's suspected to be some kind of food-borne illness), and he can walk around and go to class, but he has to get back on a regular diet before he can return to practice.
Running back Shon Carson is out due to a wrist injury. He could be back for the bowl game. He did not dress.
Running back Brandon Wilds is out due to a sprained ankle. He is likely to redshirt. He did not dress.
OUT FOR THE SEASON
Cornerback Rico McWilliams is recovering from a torn knee ligament and will redshirt the season.
Running back Kendric Salley is recovering from a torn knee ligament and will redshirt the season.
Fullback Jacob Baker is recovering from a torn knee ligament and likely will not play this season.
Spur Marcquis Roberts is out due to a knee injury and will not play this season, although he is practicing in full pads.
