Mountain Brook (Ala.) defensive end Drew Traylor, one of the best defensive in the state of Alabama this year, now has five scholarship offers on the table. Ironically, his two most recent offers came from the Palmetto State.

"Clemson and South Carolina are my two latest offers," the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Traylor said. "My other offers are from Vandy, Kentucky and Army."
If Traylor were to pick one of the S.C. schools, he knows he would still be near family.
"I have family all over South Carolina, so I know I would be comfortable if I went to South Carolina or Clemson. I have family in Lancaster, Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and places like that."
While he's still learning about the Gamecocks, there's one aspect of their program he's well aware of.
"They picked up Steve Spurrier last year as their head coach. He has an amazing track record as a coach, so you have to think he's going to do big things there once he gets his players in there."
Clemson is also attractive to Traylor, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds.
"My brother goes to Auburn, and I've heard Clemson is like Auburn with a lake. They also have a loud stadium and an up and coming program."
Traylor, who racked up 61 tackles, including 12 tackles for loss and five sacks as a junior, took a trip to Vanderbilt this spring and liked what he found.
"All of their coaches are very personable, and I like how they run their program. It's a beautiful campus up there."
Auburn and Alabama round out the list of schools he commented on.
"I grew up an Alabama fan. Their fans are awesome, and they know how to win. With my brother at Auburn, that kind of opened my eyes to what Auburn has to offer, too. They have an intense team, and they've been winning, too."
Traylor will base his decision on three primary aspects.
"My comfort level with the school and my comfort level with the coaches. Also, education is very important to me. I'm not sure what I'll major in as of yet."
Traylor is no hurry to make a decision.
"I'm going to take some official visits before I choose my school. I'm pretty wide open as of tonight."
