USC pursuing Peach State DT

Dawson (Ga.) Dawson County defensive tackle Logan Walls is one of the best defensive line prospects in the Peach State's class of 2007, and he has the offers to back it up.
"I'm up to about 11 offers," the 6-foot-2, 270-pound Walls said. "Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Clemson, BYU, Hawaii, Auburn, Kentucky, Louisville, UCF and South Carolina. I'm still looking at a lot of schools, but Georgia Tech and Georgia are the ones I'm really focused on as of today."

In fact, Walls was in Athens, Ga., at the time of the interview.
"This is my first trip to Georgia. I'm actually standing in their weight room right now. I like a lot of things about the Georgia program, and I think I'll have a lot better feel for everything after this visit is over."
The team to beat as of today is Georgia Tech.
"I've been to (Georgia) Tech about six times," he said. "I have a great relationship with their coaches. They are my top school right now."
The two Palmetto State schools are both trying to lure Walls their way.
"I haven't been to South Carolina or anything, so I don't know as much about them. I do know I really like my recruiter, Robert Gillespie. I went to Clemson's junior day. It's close to home, and they have pretty nice facilities. I also like their defensive line coach."
Walls, who bench presses 325 pounds, knows what he's looking for in a school.
"Strong academics, a good overall atmosphere, and a good football program. I was thinking about making a commitment this summer, but now I think I'm going to wait and do it sometime after my season."
