Baseball scrimmage times announced

The Gamecock baseball team announced the start of its fall scrimmages Tuesday. Intrasquad scrimmages will begin this weekend starting Friday and will continue throughout October.

The Gamecocks will have three scrimmages this weekend with the first being at 4 p.m. on Friday. Saturday's will be at 10:30 a.m. so it will not conflict with the football team's 4 p.m. kickoff against East Carolina. The third scrimmage will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

All scrimmages will be at Founders Park and are free and open to the public.

Scrimmages will continue throughout October and will be held every weekend, weather permitting. Fall scrimmages end the last week of October usually with the Garnet and Black World Series.

The Gamecocks are coming off a SEC East title and a trip to the Super Regionals where before they were eliminated by Oklahoma State.
